PERTH, 28 April 2016 – Brookfield Property Partners (“Brookfield”) was today presented with a 5 Star Green Star – Office Design v3 rating for Brookfield Place Tower 2, the second commercial tower at the Brookfield Place precinct in Perth’s central business district.
Brookfield Place Tower 2 is a premium-grade 16-level office tower with 34,000 sqm (366,000 square feet) of net lettable area. It was officially opened in November 2015 and has attracted a number of blue chip tenants including Deloitte, Wesfarmers, Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Brookfield Multiplex.
Brookfield’s Head of Development, Carl Schibrowski, said: “Tower 2 reflects the latest thinking in corporate workplace design and facilities and all the feedback from tenants is that it is an enjoyable and efficient place to work.

Green Building Council Australia chief executive officer Romilly Madew said Brookfield Place Tower 2 had achieved a Green Star rating signifying ‘Australian Excellence’ and demonstrated how a focus on sustainability could drive economic uplift well beyond the construction cycle.
“Brookfield has led the way in incorporating features such a daylight harvesting, light zoning and control systems, grey water harvesting, smart lifts and a tri-generation system that combine to reduce costs and greenhouse gases and improve conditions for tenants in the building.”
