Brookfield Place Perth Tower 2

PERTH, Australia, 07 July 2015: Brookfield Property Partners L. P. (“Brookfield”) has finalised a 10 year lease agreement with one of Australia’s largest listed companies, Wesfarmers, to occupy 4,200 square metres (45,208 square feet) at Brookfield Place Tower 2 in Perth’s central business district.

Brookfield Place Tower 2 is a PCA Premium Grade 16-level office tower, currently under construction, with a total of 33,600 sqm (362,000 square feet) of net lettable area. The property will have large, efficient, column-free floor plates of 2,100 sqm, ground level conference facilities, 110 secure basement parking spaces and state of the art end of trip facilities provided for over 330 bike commuters.

In line with Brookfield’s global commitment to providing high quality sustainable work environments, Brookfield Place Tower 2 is targeting high scoring NABERS and Green Star ratings. The property is also one of the first commercial office towers in Perth to use Tri-generation technology – being the simultaneous production of power, heat and cooling from a single fuel source such as gas.

The Brookfield Place Tower 2 project incorporates a sheltered upper-level walkway across Mounts Bay Road to provide greater connectivity between the Perth Bus Port, Esplanade Train Station and Perth’s city centre. The project is 100% owned, developed and will be managed by Brookfield and constructed by affiliate Brookfield Multiplex. It is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.

Wesfarmers will occupy levels 12 and 13 of the property and will move in to the building in the second quarter of 2016. Other pre-committed occupants for Tower 2 include Ashurst, Deloitte, Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Brookfield Multiplex.
