Lunchtime Jazz

The Brookfield Place Café Court has one more reason to visit from 12.30pm – 1.30pm on Monday 22 May to Thursday 25 May, with FREE lunchtime jazz performances by some of the most exciting young jazz musicians in Perth.

Monday 22 May, 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Chris Musitano and Malachi George are two up and coming musicians in the Perth music scene, currently studying Bachelor of Jazz Performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). They have played at such venues as the Perth Concert Hall, Ellington Jazz Club and Laneway Lounge.

 Tuesday 23 May, 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Adrian Galante is a jazz clarinettist, saxophonist and pianist. A recent WAAPA graduate, Adrian was awarded the Channel 7 award for Jazz for highest marked graduating student. He has performed with James Morrison, UK guitarist Robin Nolan, US group Kneebody, Emma Pask, Victoria Newton, Ali Bodycoat, Libby Hammer and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

Wednesday 24 May, 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Daniel Khaimov is a talented Australian-born Jazz saxophonist who has his roots in classical and European music with an affinity for jazz and modern music. He has travelled to Europe and America to further his skills as a musician and is currently teaching and performing across Australia. Daniel’s paying seeks to unearth the traditions of jazz music while simultaneously challenging and manipulating it in creative ways.

Thursday 25 May, 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Luke Minness performs with the Minness quartet and works as a session musician in Perth. He has recorded many original albums with well-known artists and more recently has recorded his debut album, heavily influenced by modern jazz and electric pop, and released at the final leg of his Australian tour over the weekend.
